With just over a year to go until the FIFA World Cup kicks off in Los Angeles, The Los Angeles World Cup Host Committee unveiled the new test pitch at SoFi Stadium. SCG was honored to support the host committee at the event as its leaders work to bring an unforgettable World Cup experience to L.A.
It’s exciting to think that, on June 12, 2026, the U.S. Men’s National Team will take the field right where we stood for their opening match of the World Cup.
Unlike the turf football field at SoFi, the FIFA pitch is natural grass and maintained to perfection using the latest technology. At the event, L.A. World Cup Host Committee members welcomed the press and soccer influencers to walk the field for the first time, kick around LA FWC 26 soccer balls, and listen to the brand-new Los Angeles World Cup Anthem by local artist DJ Flict.
The host committee is working hard to ensure the World Cup leaves a lasting impact on our city through community-focused Legacy Programs and unites the region through the power of soccer — and we are so proud to join them on this journey.
