The SCG team was proud to join EF Education First (EF) at the recent groundbreaking celebration for EF Academy, a new international boarding school focused on shaping 21st-century global leaders coming to Pasadena.
The ceremony featured remarks from EF’s leadership as well as local officials, including Pasadena Mayor Terry Tornek, along with a surprise performance from the Recycled Orchestra of Cateura, a Paraguayan youth orchestra that makes instruments entirely made out of landfill scraps (learn more about their compelling story here).

EF Academy will open for the 2020 school year and will eventually welcome 975 students from 75 different countries for an academically rigorous program centered on expanding students’ worldview. The school will be located at the redeveloped site of the former William Carey International University campus, and is expected to bring 150 permanent local jobs and $5 million to businesses in the area annually.
The SCG team is looking forward to celebrating more milestones with EF Academy!
