There is no doubt that 2020 has been a tumultuous year so far. As a college senior graduating in the midst of a global pandemic, economy uncertainty, and civil unrest, my last semester of undergrad was far from what I pictured.
However, my internship with SCG throughout the semester—now turned full-time job!—has been a consistent, positive light throughout these difficult times. From working in the office two days per week to transitioning to a virtual internship to joining the firm full-time remotely (for now), I’ve seen the firm navigate unchartered waters during this pandemic. Yet, with each change, the SCG team has remained steady and dedicated to getting the job done.
As I have gotten to know the SCG team over the last few months, I have become increasingly grateful to work with such a small but mighty group. Although we no longer see each other in the office, daily Zoom calls keep us connected, focused, and on top of client needs.
Now that my semester is over and I am set to virtually graduate from Occidental College with a degree in Urban and Environmental Policy on June 14th, I am excited to roll up my sleeves and contribute to our client work!
