A dozen or so Los Angeles area high school teens spent their summer in a flagship program called Harbor Freight Tools for Schools designed to advance excellent skilled trades education across the country.
Over a five-week period of 144 hours, they were paid to learn, develop construction skills leading to valuable industry credits in construction, welding and other skilled trades culminating in certificates accepted by labor unions.
