Proud to Play a Role in LABC’s Groundbreaking 2021 Homelessness Survey

November 4, 2021
With more than 66,000 unhoused people living in LA County at last count, SCG was proud to work with our long-time client, the Los Angeles Business Council (LABC), to help deliver a new voter opinion survey designed to identify and advance innovative, cost-effective solutions to the region’s homelessness crisis.

Building on its groundbreaking 2019 survey on the issue, the LABC Institute — LABC’s research and education arm – commissioned and funded the poll to help policymakers better understand public views on homelessness and spur pragmatic solutions.

Legendary pollster Peter D. Hart, with whom our firm enjoys a longstanding relationship, led the research effort, which included a survey of 906 LA County voters and two focus groups.

The research, conducted by the LABC in cooperation with the Los Angeles Times, garnered widespread attention locally and nationally. The survey helps set the stage for LABC’s Candidate Breakfast Series, with the forum for candidates for Mayor taking place in late January of 2022.

It was a privilege for SCG to help an outstanding client once again deliver valuable new insights into a local humanitarian crisis, and hopefully help LA move toward solutions for the good of all Angelenos.
