Despite the current crisis, community members are still coming together to help take care of one another even while staying physically apart. Our client Palisades, which is transforming a 5.5-acre site at 1111 W Sunset Blvd, was eager to find a way to help its new neighbors during this challenging time and support beloved local businesses. They hatched a plan to buy thousands of dollars’ worth of food from next-door neighbor Eastside Italian Deli to be delivered to frontline workers in the coronavirus pandemic, including medical staff at Kaiser Hospital and firefighters with the Los Angeles Fire Department. The donation to Kaiser fed 105 staff members from the Emergency Room and Respiratory Department. It also fed all of the firefighters at LAFD Station 3, the station that covers Downtown L.A.
"Our small way of saying thank you for all that you do," said Brian Falls of Palisades.
