Sugerman Group is excited to welcome our fall intern, Mariah Hernandez.
Mariah, a Sacramento native, recently graduated from The University of Oregon where she received her B.A. in public relations with a minor in English. She comes to SCG with diverse experience and knowledge in public relations that stretches across an array of markets and clientele including, healthcare, senior living, opera, wine, sports, lifestyle, and entertainment.
Mariah has a strong desire to learn and a keen interest in supporting low-income, minority communities. Her parents were immigrants from Aguascalientes, Mexico. Growing up in a Spanish-speaking household, she has experienced first-hand the lack of financial and educational support due to language barriers. This experience fuels her passion for supporting positive, substantive changes to local and national education and housing efforts.
Mariah is looking forward to the opportunity to grow through this internship and expand her knowledge in public affairs, politics, and policymaking. She is excited to jump in and apply her knowledge to important client matters that benefit all of Los Angeles.
