Sugerman Group is excited to welcome Stella Mullin as our fall intern.
A recent graduate of UC Santa Barbara, Stella brings extensive storytelling experience to the firm. She served as the arts and culture editor for the Daily Nexus, UCSB’s independent student newspaper, and wrote for local Santa Barbara outlets, including Noozhawk and the Santa Barbara Independent. She covered everything from student artists to offshore drilling to the inauguration of CA Senate pro Tempore Monique Limon.
Through journalism, Stella knows what makes a story worth reading. Now, she is eager to be on the other side of the pitch, learning how to bridge the gap between the media and the communities they cover, and how strategic communications helps shape a story.
Outside of writing, Stella is dedicated to ocean awareness and community engagement. As a member of the Surfrider Foundation, she produced an annual benefit concert, with all proceeds donated to local non-profits focused on coastal protection and access.
The SCG team is pleased to welcome Stella to the team!
