SCG is proud to welcome two summer interns – both hailing from the University of Michigan’s College of Literature, Science, and the Arts – to the firm.
• Grace Emma (’21) traveled from her hometown in the Milwaukee area to intern at SCG this summer and explore Southern California for the first time. Grace learned about the SCG internship opportunity through the University of Michigan LS&A Opportunity Hub – a program designed to pair the value of a liberal arts education with real-world experience. At Michigan, Grace is majoring in Psychology and minoring in Gender and Health, and is also very active in the campus community. She is involved in Greek life, and with Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity, an organization dedicated to fostering scholarship, leadership, and fellowship among its members. Grace has previous work experience as a Communications Intern at Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin and a Public Relations Intern at a local Chamber of Commerce. She has also completed research at the University of Michigan Institute for Social Research and Beijing Normal University.
• Sam Nursall (’21) has an interest in marketing, brand management and corporate communications, and is looking to gain experience in these areas as a summer intern at SCG. Active in the University of Michigan community, Sam participates on Michigan’s Social Responsibility Committee, which seeks to ensure a safe social environment for members of Greek life and their guests. He also holds a management position in Michigan Dining – comprised of eleven on-campus cafés and eight markets, seven residential dining halls, a line of Blue to Go foods and the Michigan Catering unit. A native of Southern California, Sam is an avid soccer player and film buff; he’s also adjusting to the fact that in Michigan, soccer players consider light sleet and temperatures in the mid-40’s to be balmy playing conditions. He is majoring in Economics with a minor in Moral and Political Philosophy.
Welcome Grace and Sam…and GO BLUE!
